ROCK NIGHT 2012
Rock Night takes
place this Thursday 6th September at the Queen’s Hall on Clerk Street at 7pm!
Come along and support bands from S2 to S6, and also a
teacher band!
Tickets are
priced at £7.50 and will be available at the door on the night, or
can be purchased from the website or box office.
All profits go
towards the school’s South Africa Project, so it’s a
very worthwhile cause.
Refreshments
will be available throughout the evening at the Queen’s Hall café’ bar.
2. MUSIC BANDS AND GROUPS
Please remind ALL
pupils that wind-band/strings orchestras/ clarsach/percussion and guitar
ensembles have started rehearsals.
It is crucial that ALL instrumentalists attend these rehearsals.
Mondays after school
in the hall: WIND BAND (includes
both Junior and Senior players)
Tuesdays after school:
SENIOR STRING
ORCHESTRA – HALL
JUNIOR STRINGS
– B1
Wednesdays at lunchtime: PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE
Thursdays after school in B1: SENIOR GUITAR ENSEMBLE
PLEASE NOTE: Choirs will start rehearsals on the week beginning the 17th
September.

September and ensure you get your planner signed in advance.

African
Children’s Choir!!!
The African Children’s Choir are performing in concert
on the Wednesday 19th
September at 7pm. It will be a
fantastic concert and we are raising money for the South Africa Project at the
event!
If you want to host the children please return your
slips to Miss Millar in Music!
