MusicFest 2016 (formerly known as
Rock Night)
Are you a singer/songwriter? Do you play in a band? Do you
enjoy playing a musical instrument and would like to perform to an audience?
The music department are looking for any S1-6 pupils who
would be interested in being a part of our annual MusicFest on Thursday 6th
October. We are looking for soloists and small groups who would like to
perform to an audience of parents, pupils and staff. Any genre of music is
welcome including Rock, Pop, Heavy Metal or even DJ sets as we have had in
previous years. This will be the first school performance to take place in
our brand new Performing Arts theatre so let’s make it one to remember!
Any interested performers should attend a meeting for more
information on Monday 29th August in Music Room 1 (S1.08) in
the Muriel Spark Building @ 4pm.
CHESS CLUB
James Gillespie’s Chess Club will be running every Monday
lunch time with Mr Maclaughland & guests in room 2.31 The club
is open to all levels and ages from beginners to Grand Masters and
offers an excellent opportunity for students to test their metal
against the best in the game!
