The JGHS S1 Girls’ Football Team train on a Saturday morning at Thirlestane Road from 9-10am. 85th Braid Scout Group Cubs and Scouts want you!
Our Cub Pack is currently looking for new recruits aged 8-10½.  We meet every Monday evening during term-time, from 7.00-8.15pm, at the Reid Memorial Church Hall (on West Savile Terrace, EH9 3HY).  Activities are an energetic mixture of games and working towards badges.  There are also outdoor activities when the weather permits, e.g. games and orienteering on Blackford Hill, and we aim to have at least one trip further afield (e.g. hike or indoor climbing) once a term too.  If you are interested, please contact 85blackfordcubs@gmail.com for more information.

For older boys and girls aged 10½-13 (inclusive), our new Scout Troop also has a few places.  We meet every Wednesday during term-time, 7.30-9.00 pm, at Craigmillar Park Church Hall (on Craigmillar Park, EH16 5LZ).  We can offer at least 2 camps a year, plenty of exciting indoor and outdoor activities, and lots of badges.  To find out more, please contact 85thbraidscouts@gmail.com.

S1 Photographs

CHOIR REHEARSALS
All choirs will start rehearsing for this year’s Christmas Concert at the Usher Hall on Tuesday 19 December as follows:

S1 choir:  starts Wednesday 20 September at 1.15pm in the theatre
S2/3 choir: starts Tuesday 19 September at 1.15pm in the theatre
Senior choir (S4-6): starts Wednesday 20 September at 3.45pm in the theatre

These are weekly rehearsal times and we expect all who join choirs to attend each week.
Any pupil who has missed the first rehearsal is welcome to come along and register at the next rehearsal the following week.

Please note that choirs are open to all young people with no auditions, and no previous experience required – just an enjoyment of singing!

We hope to see many of our young people involved in these, and participating in the concert!
