S1	School immunisation programme Immunisation helps protect our young people and communities from a wide range of illnesses. The NHS Lothian Community Vaccination Team carries out an annual immunisation programme, which includes: • The HPV vaccine for girls in S1 and S2 to protect against cervical cancer (and also for any girls in S3-S6 who have not completed) • If you receive a consent form pack please ensure you read this and discuss it at home. Please make sure the form is returned by 16th March to Welfare, signed by both child and parent.

S2-3 EDINBURGH SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS If you would like to enter this upcoming championship, please see Mrs Morgan in the PE Dept.  The race is approximately 2.5-3km and will be held on Monday 12th March.  No experience necessary. Geography Fieldtrip to Arran - The second payment of £85 is now due to be paid. The final payment of £80 is due by 30th March. If there are any concerns, please come and speak to Mrs. Harvey-Jamieson. Thank you.

S5	STEM CLUB Anyone interested in pursuing a science or engineering degree should consider starting to help at STEM club. You would learn what the s6’s are doing so that you could take over running the club when in s6. Lab 2, Science 3:40-4:30 Tuesdays- come along!
S6	S6 PHOTOGRAPHS S6 photos have arrived - they can be collected from the Classroom Assistants’ Office in Bruntsfield House.
All years	**NEW ITEM** World Book Day As the school was closed on World Book Day last week, tokens and books will now be available directly from the library.  The Book Swap will be rescheduled for a later date.  Apologies for any inconvenience. Ch.E.A.P.P Interested in environmental ideas?  Ch.E.A.P.P. meets every Thursday in 233. That’s Change, Equality, Animals, People & Planet! Please come along and / or bring us what we need to make a bug hotel - Broken bricks, Pinecone, Straw, Wood shavings, Tiles, Bamboo, etc. Contact – Mr Stewart WE LOVE POETRY! (S3-S6) The school has been invited to participate in the ‘Poetry by Heart’ national poetry recital competition. This involves reading poetry aloud with passion and enthusiasm. So, we will be running a group to discover, enjoy and read poetry aloud with a view to entering a team for the competition. If you like poetry and music, come along at lunchtime on Wednesdays to room 1.31. Bring your lunch. We will be supplying a broad selection of initial poems, so there is no need to bring your own poems, however, feel free to bring a favourite poem with you if you like.
