LANGAGUES SCHOOL FOOTBALL Any student who is interested in playing football for JGHS should note that the first training session for each year group will take place as follows. S1 Boys Tuesday 28th August S2 Boys Monday 27th August Players should bring PE kit, (including football boots) get changed in PE department and meet outside the PE building. Training will take place at Thirlestane Rd and begin at 4pm and finish at 5pm. All abilities welcome. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Carruthers in the PE department.

It is now running on a Wednesday from 4 – 5pm at Merchiston Tennis Club. If you would like to attend this club then you must speak to Mr Newall (PE Dept) first as this club has limited space and is only open for those who are looking to represent the school team. The first session is on Wednesday 29th August. It is important to note that there is an additional tennis club that runs on a Friday that is open to everyone. SCRIPTURE UNION SU will start again on Wednesday 22nd August, meeting every week at 1pm in room M2.29. The club is open to everyone interested in Christianity. EDINBURGH SCHOOLS ROCK ENSEMBLE Auditions for this year's band are to be held a week on Thursday (30th August) at St.Thomas of Aquinas HS Chalmers Street. 4.30 pm to 6.30pm If any pupil is interested in joining the ensemble please attend this audition. For more information, please see Mrs Shearer in the music department. MANGA CLUB Manga Club takes place on Wednesday lunchtimes in Room 1.30, starting next week the 29th August.  If you enjoy drawing Manga or cartoons, feel free to come along.  Open to all years.
