All years	1. ‘Diversecity’ – rehearsals will take place this Saturday from 10.00 – 2.00pm in the hall for all performers. Tickets will go on sale each day from next Monday 11^th June during interval in the foyer outside reception. 2. ‘Rock Night 2012’ – Mrs O’Brien is now recruiting bands or artists for this concert which will take place on Thursday 6^th September at the Queen’s Hall from 7.00 – 9.00pm. Any interested bands or individuals MUST see me in the music dept. by next Friday 16^th June if they would like a chance to perform at this. Tickets will go on sale during the summer holidays directly from the Queen’s Hall website or venue priced at £7.50. 3. ‘Belgium Music Trip 2013’ – the music department has booked a trip to Ghent in Belgium next June for wind band players and pipers in the first instance, and then will open places up to senior vocalists in the second instance. Wind band and pipers have already received letters home about this trip – a reminder that there is a meeting to collect names and deposits on Friday 8^th June in B1 during interval Diversecity 2012 will take place on Thursday 14th, Friday 15^th June and Saturday 16th June 2012 at 7.00pm The prices for the tickets are: Thursday 14th June Adult £8 Child £4 Friday 15th June Adult £8 Child £4 Saturday 16th June Adult £10 Child £5 (including food) The tickets will go on sale on Monday 11th June. They will be sold in the school foyer during morning interval on each day from Monday 11th June In past years, Diversecity has been sold out, so buy your ticket early to avoid disappointment

S1	Edinburgh Schools Rugby 7’s – Friday 8^th June The rescheduled round of the S1/S2 Rugby 7’s is this Friday, 8^th June, 2pm – 4.30pm at Edinburgh Accies Rugby Club, Raeburn Place, Stockbridge. Please remember to collect your letter and return your EE2 to Mr. Wallace in the P.E. department by Thursday 7^th June. Scottish Cricket Finals A reminder our S1 – S3 Cricket Team will be leaving at 12pm on Wednesday 6^th June to compete in this year’s Scottish Cricket Finals. Players are reminded they must return their tear off slip and EE2 to Mr. Wallace by Monday 4^th June.

All years	James Gillespie’s High School Sporting Celebration – Thursday 7^th June Just a reminder this year’s Sporting Celebration is this Thursday, 7^th June, 6.30pm – 8pm. If you haven’t done so please collect your tickets from the P.E. department ASAP. The Edinburgh Leisure Games – Friday 22^nd June This year’s Edinburgh Leisure Games will be help at Festival Square (opposite the Sheraton Hotel) on Friday 22^nd June, 1pm – 4pm. All years	A reminder this year’s sporting celebration takes place on Thursday 7^th June, 6.30pm – 8pm at James Gillespie’s High School. All pupils who have participated in any activity within the school are welcome to attend along with any friends and family. Please collect your tickets ASAP from the P.E. department. Check the posters around school for the nominations for this year’s Junior and Senior Sports Personality, Team of the Year and Outstanding Contribution to School Sports Awards. Rowing with St. Andrews Boat Club Would everyone who would like to participate in the free learn to row project offered by St. Andrews Boat Club please come and see Mr. Wallace in the P.E. department at lunchtime on Thursday 24^th May. All years	GUITAR LESSONS A reminder that the guitar teacher will be teaching this Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th in the ICT Suite (next to the Music Staff Base) instead of the usual Thursday and Friday - only for this week. Guitar lessons will resume as normal in B17 next Tbursday 17th and Friday 18th May.
