MUSIC TRIP TO BELGIUM – JUNE 2013

There will be a meeting in B1 next Wednesday 7th November at interval to issue letters and EE2 forms for this.
It is vital that all pupils going on this trip attend this meeting.
There is still a couple of spaces available for this trip – please see Mrs O’Brien asap if you are interested in coming along.

Pedals not Petrol

Do you get a lift to school? The energy it takes to cycle to school would only get your car to the end of the drive.
Next week (190th -23rd), cycle to school in the morning and receive a tasty free breakfast of pastries, toast and hot chocolate. Totally free!!
Arrive from 8.15 to the bell and look out for 6th years in bike helmets stationed at bike lock up points. They’ll give you a sticker and direct you and your friends to your free breakfast.
Happy cycling! (Don’t forget your helmet).

CYP

As of Wednesday 14th November,  Canongate Youth Project [CYP] will be in and around the school over the lunchtime period on Wednesdays. CYP already has a role within the school through our Early Intervention contract, offering both individual and groupwork support to pupils. We are hoping that by having a presence within the playground and school perimeter that we will increase our profile amongst the wider school population. We will be able to offer advice, information, support and guidance to pupils in an informal setting whilst promoting both the services that we offer in JGHS and the community based services on offer from our base at South Bridge Resource Centre.
