In addition to the usual quality opportunities provided for the members of NYCoS Training Choir we have some very high quality performances to offer to members of NYCoS Scotland. CYP
As of
Wednesday 14th November, Canongate Youth Project [CYP] will
be in and around the school over the lunchtime period on Wednesdays. CYP
already has a role within the school through our Early Intervention contract,
offering both individual and groupwork support to pupils. We are hoping that
by having a presence within the playground and school perimeter that we will increase
our profile amongst the wider school population. We will be able to offer
advice, information, support and guidance to pupils in an informal setting
whilst promoting both the services that we offer in JGHS and the community
based services on offer from our base at South Bridge Resource Centre.

South Africa 2013
For the South Africa Project this year, we have organised a
sub-group with the aim of collecting clothing for the children in the two
high schools we are visiting. From previous experiences taking prom
dresses and football tops, in addition to packs of school clothes, has been
very well received. We are asking for donations of any prom style dresses
or football tops from ages 14 upwards. The clothes would preferably be
in good condition. In terms of football tops, any team from any league
or country would be suitable. There will be someone available in the
school foyer to collect donations at Friday break times.
Thank you
