S3	**New Item**   Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award   Reminder: There will be a meeting at lunch time on Wednesday in W16 for all pupils who have applied to take part in the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award next year.  Anybody who is still interested in applying but cannot attend group meetings after school on a Wednesday should also attend this meeting.   Attendance is required in order to gain a place in the group.   Lockers Locker keys need to be returned to the welfare office as soon as possible.
S4	U16 (S4) Boys Football   Could all those wishing to play U16s football next year please attend a training session on Wednesday 18th June at Thirlestane Road straight after school. We require guarantees that enough boys are committed to playing in order to fulfil all fixtures. Attendance is essential if we are to enter a team. All years	** New Item** Lost Property Reclaim   Friday 20th June in the foyer at break time   Sponsored Fun Run   If you participated in the Fun Run and you haven’t handed in your money to Mr Newall can you please do this ASAP so that he can let everyone know the total amount raised. The Dloko High School Choir   The Dloko High School Choir from Umlazi Township are performing this year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival! JGHS Chamber Choir will be joining them on stage for the finale and one other item.  The Chamber Choir would like to invite any pupil past or present to join them for this event with the Dloko Choir.  Rehearsals will be happening in the next few weeks.  If you would like to be involved please come to a meeting during lunchtime on Thursday.   The publicity blurb says that the choir’s performance will ‘move you to tears of sadness and joy.’ This statement is absolutely true and those staff and pupils who have been involved in the South Africa project can testify to this statement.   It has been discussed that JGHS staff and pupils can get tickets at the concession rate.  The money raised from ticket sales will fund local community projects tackling poverty through the Jabulani Charity.   Date 12-14 August 2014 Time 19:55 Duration 1 hour Venue The Assembly Rooms
