check their instrumental lesson times for the rest of term on the
noticeboards in Bruntsfield House.
DIVERSECITY 2015
‘Diverescity’
is a whole school celebration of the diverse cultures that exist within the
school role. This is an integral part of reinforcing the school ethos
that “we value the diversity which exists amongst us”.
The production is unique due to the fact that it is primarily lead by the students. They create and rehearse a variety of different performance pieces, usually on their own, but sometimes with staff help. This year is set to include comedy sketches, short dramas, music and more. With students from S1-S6 working collaboratively together on stage and behind the scenes.
Diversecity 2015
The show is on in the Drama Studio at Darroch
(G20) for two nights,
Friday 12th and Saturday 13th June & starts at 7pm
Adults £7.50 Students £5
Tickets will go on sale from Wed 10th
June at break & lunch in the Forum at the Lauderdale Campus & outside
G20 at the Darroch Campus. Please buy early as seats are limited.
All performers MUST attend the rehearsal this Thursday
4th June from 4.00 – 6.00pm in the Darroch Drama Studio for the
final line-up. Any absences will unfortunately result in that act not being
able to perform in the show.
Any problems, please let Mr Hardie know ASAP.
This year’s ‘Diversity’ celebration will take place on
Friday 12th and Saturday 13th June from 7.00pm in the
Darroch Drama Studio.

follow.
Eco Group
Eco Group meeting at break in the library on Monday.
Everybody welcome to come and along-if you are interested in helping our new
school staying litter free and want to be able to recycle the rubbish we
make, come along and help make Gillespie’s green. Only you can make a
difference.
Word of the week: 1K1
Word: wanderlust (noun)
Definition: Eager desire or fondness of travelling.
Context: His friend had wanderlust, and had already been
to Thailand and Jamaica.
Another super word from 1K1. Can anyone catch them? Your
challenge for next week is the come up with two words beginning with X
and Y respectively. There does not need to be a connection between the two
words.
Tutors, please discuss this week’s word with your classes
and encourage them in their efforts to discover new and exciting words for
next week.
