CHOIR REHEARSALS START THIS WEEK
All choirs will start rehearsing for this year’s Christmas Concert at the Usher Hall on Tuesday 19 December as follows:

S1 choir:  starts Wednesday 20 September at 1.15pm in the theatre
S2/3 choir: starts Tuesday 19 September at 1.15pm in the theatre
Senior choir (S4-6): starts Wednesday 20 September at 3.45pm in the theatre

These are weekly rehearsal times and we expect all who join choirs to attend each week.
Any pupil who has missed the first rehearsal is welcome to come along and register at the next rehearsal the following week.

Please note that choirs are open to all young people with no auditions, and no previous experience required – just an enjoyment of singing!

We hope to see many of our young people involved in these, and participating in the concert!

WED Talks in the Library
WED Talks is a new activity starting in the library soon (provisional date 20 September). It is another forum for all JGHS community to share stories – about experiences and ideas. Students and staff could talk about a good/bad holiday, last night’s dinner, future plans. Or just come and share your views on anything you’re passionate about!
The talk will be about 5-7 minutes followed by comments. This event will only take a maximum of 20 minutes over lunchtime.
If you’d like to take part, decide on a topic to speak about and talk to one of the librarians with a note of your preferred Wednesday.
Every Wednesdays from September 2017. 1.05pm to 1.25pm
