Reminder -S1 Photographs
Deadline for the return of orders for the S1 photographs is this Friday 8th September

Please return order forms in the sealed Tempest Photography envelope to the school office.  If returned by Friday 8th September then you will avoid paying p&p costs. 

Please note that you can also order online directly with Tempest!

The photo will be sent directly to the school for your child to bring home.

We hope you are happy with the photos!
 

Junior Art Club
The junior art club will be starting up again, it will begin on Tuesday 5th September and be for S1 only. Any S1 pupil interested should come up to the art department at the beginning of lunchtime, next Tuesday, bring their lunch with them and sign up.

STEM Club
STEM committee meeting 3.40pm in Lab 2 on Thursday 7th September with Miss McKenna. Anyone interested in supporting s1-s3 STEM club, or other STEM events should attend.

Art and Design Nat5 and Higher Folio return
Pupils who studied Art and Design at National 5 level and Higher and would like their folios returned, please contact the Art Department with the fee required for postage and packing. The deadline for this is 11th September. If students do not come up to Art before or on this date with their fee, we will be unable to get their folios back from the SQA .

Dundee University Presentation
S6 please note there will NOT be a Performing Arts assembly next Thursday 7th September P3 but all S6 should go to the Theatre during PSE P4 for Dundee University presentation.

SSAA SECONDARY ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017

If you would like to participate in the upcoming Scottish Schools Secondary Road Race can you please come and register your interest with Mrs Morgan in the PE Department by Wednesday 13th September.  The race for juniors is 1.5miles and for seniors 2/2.5/3 miles depending on year group.

LOCKERS
Locker keys will be issued every day at break time and at Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes. They are available now for hire until 31st May 2018. Locker forms are available from the Welfare office or school Reception. Please bring the correct money with you.

Ukulele club
Ukulele club will run next week, Thursday lunchtime in Mr Roderick's room, 0.12.

WED Talks in the Library
WED Talks is a new activity starting in the library soon (provisional date 20 September). It is another forum for all JGHS community to share stories – about experiences and ideas. Students and staff could talk about a good/bad holiday, last night’s dinner, future plans. Or just come and share your views on anything you’re passionate about!
The talk will be about 5-7 minutes followed by comments. This event will only take a maximum of 20 minutes over lunchtime.
If you’d like to take part, decide on a topic to speak about and talk to one of the librarians with a note of your preferred Wednesday.
Every Wednesdays from September 2017. 1.05pm to 1.25pm

SU GROUP
SU group starts up again Wednesday lunchtimes in room 2.29. Everyone is welcome and lunch is provided.
