All years	**NEW ITEM** SCOTTISH SCHOOLS INDOOR ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018 If you are interested in participating in the upcoming athletics competition then please see Mrs Morgan in the PE Department.  Please be aware there are entry conditions for this competition so please come prepared with your personal bests before registering your interest.  The closing date for this competition is Friday 19th January. ‘Happy 2018’ Cards for Sale from Ms. Christie in Art 2.08 (available for staff to purchase in staffroom) 10 beautiful cards designed by S1 and S2 classes on display currently at reception. £5 for pack of 10. All money raised going to school charities. South Africa 2018 We’re collecting filled pencil cases and books for the South Africa project. The pencils cases will help improve the quality of education for pupils, and the books will stock the libraries of both the primary and secondary schools.  The pencil cases can contain pencils, pens, rubbers and rulers etc. and can include an optional note to the pupil (who’s receiving the donation) Books can be educational or a young children’s book All donations should be in by 19th January, and can be dropped off at: -Reception -Lab 8 -key adult ( S6 will pick them up) Ch.E.A.P.P Interested in environmental ideas?  Ch.E.A.P.P. meets every Thursday in 233. That’s Change, Equality, Animals, People & Planet! Please come along and / or bring us what we need to make a bug hotel - Broken bricks, Pinecone, Straw, Wood shavings, Tiles, Bamboo, etc. Contact – Mr Stewart WE LOVE POETRY! (S3-S6) The school has been invited to participate in the ‘Poetry by Heart’ national poetry recital competition. This involves reading poetry aloud with passion and enthusiasm. So, we will be running a group to discover, enjoy and read poetry aloud with a view to entering a team for the competition. If you like poetry and music, come along at lunchtime on Wednesdays to room 1.31. Bring your lunch. We will be supplying a broad selection of initial poems, so there is no need to bring your own poems, however, feel free to bring a favourite poem with you if you like.
