NEW
1st Minister’s Reading Challenge.
December’s challenge starts today … At any
point during December – including the holidays - we are inviting pupils to
email the school office with a
photo of themselves reading either a Christmas themed book – or wearing
something festive! Include a
bit of detail as to what you are reading and send it to admin@jamesgillespies.edin.sch.uk
The photos
will go on display in the library and there will be certificates and prizes
in the new year.
Speak to
Ms Brown in the library or Mrs Fairhurst in 1.25 for more details.
You will
also find 1st Minister’s
Reading Challenge book shelf recommendation cards in the library to slot
into any really good reads you come across this year.
Environment and Sustainability Group
Interested in the environment
and sustainability? - Join the pupil group in room 233 on Wednesday
lunchtimes. All ideas and conversation welcome. Right now we are looking to
upcycle old textbooks into Christmas decorations.
