All years	TEENAGE BOOSTER IMMUNISATIONS All S3, some S4, S5 and S6 pupils have teenage booster immunisation packs to be collected from Welfare this week. Forms in the packs need to be completed and returned to the Welfare office by the 14th December. LOST PROPERTY RECLAIM Lost property will be on display in the Forum at break on Friday 7 December. NEW 1st Minister’s Reading Challenge. December’s challenge starts today … At any point during December – including the holidays - we are inviting pupils to email the school office with a photo of themselves reading either a Christmas themed book – or wearing something festive!  Include a bit of detail as to what you are reading and send it to admin@jamesgillespies.edin.sch.uk The photos will go on display in the library and there will be certificates and prizes in the new year.  Speak to Ms Brown in the library or Mrs Fairhurst in 1.25 for more details.  You will also find 1st Minister’s Reading Challenge book shelf recommendation cards in the library to slot into any really good reads you come across this year.  Fri 7th Dec 2018 A Murder Has Been Arranged 1:45pm Matinee All Tickets £1 7pm Adults £6 Students £4 Tickets sold on the Door at the Muriel Spark Building Career Appointments for W/C 3rd Dec with Ailsa/Maya from SDS Located in Careers Room in Library Friday 09:00 Maya Stone 09:40 Maya Stone 11:05 Groupwork Maya Stone 12:05 Maya Stone Christmas Fundraiser Please support our Christmas fundraiser, in aid of our neighbours at Children 1st.  We are asking for pupils, staff and parents to donate a selection box, children’s winter woollies or a small toy.   All items must be new. These items will then be given to Children 1st who will distribute them to children in Edinburgh and the Lothian’s. Pupils can hand in their donations to their key adult teacher, the office or to Mrs Fallon in SFL (W7, Bruntsfield House). Environment and Sustainability Group Interested in the environment and sustainability? - Join the pupil group in room 233 on Wednesday lunchtimes. All ideas and conversation welcome. Right now we are looking to upcycle old textbooks into Christmas decorations. Boyd Anderson Ski Race This is being held at Hillend on Wednesday 12th December. If anyone is interested in representing the school in this event then please let Mr Newall know (PE Dept). Pupils who sign up must be competent skiers.
