S2	LONDON DANCE TRIP 2015 This year, the PE Department are offering the London Dance Trip as part of the Alternative Timetable in June 2015. If you would like more information, please collect a letter from Miss Falconer/Miss Murphy in the PE Dept at Lauderdale or Mrs McKean in the office at Darroch. Please note that if you wish to attend the trip, you must pay a deposit of £50 by Friday 10th October to the PE Dept and this deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. S4	Any S4 or S5 pupils who missed the assembly and/or Parent Information evening about the World Challenge expedition programme is welcome to attend a further info session at Darroch in the Resource Centre at lunchtime on either Tuesday 16th or Thursday 18th. Pupils who sign up for this trip will compete in a World Cup-style 5-a-side Tournament, tour The Etihad Stadium, and see 2 Live Premier League matches: Newcastle United vs. QPR and Hull City vs. Tottenham Hotspur. Full details of the proposed trip can be found on the trip itinerary. If you wish to attend, please collect a form from Mr. Carstairs. Deposits of £75 should be handed in no later than 23rd September with only 40 places available, so be quick!

All years	** New Item** Silver DofE Meeting   Meeting for all pupils wishing to participate in silver DofE this year, Thursday 18th September in S15 at 4pm. Shinty Club Shinty is on Monday, after school at Thirlestane until 5pm. Everyone welcome regardless of experience. Helmets, sticks and shinguards are provided.   Edinburgh Secondary Schools Cross Country League   Anyone interested in competing in the Cross Country League this year please see Miss Falconer for an information letter.  The races will be held every Wednesday at 4.30pm til  5.15pm  from 10th Sept to Wed 8th Oct and then they will commence on Wed 25th February 2015 to Wed 18th March 2015.  The league is open to all age groups for both girls and boys.   Bands and Orchestras   Bands and Orchestras have commenced rehearsals for the Christmas Concert.   All pupils receiving instrumental lessons are required to participate in one or more of the school ensembles.
