EDINBURGH’S GOT TALENT:

On Sunday 8th March 2015, Ultra Events is hosting a Music Talent
Showcase at City Nightclub in Edinburgh. The aim of the event is to
expose and source local talented musicians and give them a chance to
perform to a mass audience.

The event will be hosted by 4 judges and participants will be asked to
perform 1 track but should have 2 available should a second be
requested. The winner of the event will be given a slot to support Union
J and many other mega stars at the UK's first under 18's music festival
taking place at The Royal Highland Centre on 15th August 2015, in front
of an audience of more than 12,000 attendees.

Anyone interested in applying for this should see Miss Millar or Mrs O’Brien in the music department, or check the new school website for details.

South Africa Project: UPDATE

++ STOP PRESS ++ As well as the items listed below, we are really short of pencil cases to put all the lovely donated stationery in. We try to get a pencil case to each child in Charles Memorial Primary School. If you can help, please drop off to the collection points stated below before next Wednesday.

We are still appealing for any final donations to take over to our partner schools and charities in South Africa. We are focusing on the following items, but high quality donations of other items are also welcome!
  • Primary School Shoes (preferably black. We are trying to provide every child at Charles Memorial Primary School with a pair of shoes)
  • Dresses (for secondary pupils)
  • Football Shirts (For secondary pupils)
  • Sportswear (e.g. shorts, shin pads, football boots etc)
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste
Donations can be dropped off with Miss Grant in room G8 at Darroch, or Miss Gray in room S6 at Lauderdale.
Thanks for your support!
