Word of the Week from 4R1/2
Word: phantasmagoria
(noun)
Definition: a sequence of real or imaginary images like those
seen in a dream
Context: The straight As on her exam transcript, and the
resulting rewards from her parents, were a classic case of phantasmagoria.
There were some great words this week and it was difficult to
choose one.
Well done to 4R1/2 who came up with a lovely word and a context
sentence that will, I am sure, turn out to be a mere phantasmagoria
itself.
Interesting and surprising words beginning with Q for next week.
Easter Activities Programme
There’s no need to worry about being bored during the
Easter holidays because 3Ms has organised trips and activities throughout the
holiday period. The Easter programme offers climbing, mountain biking, laser
combat, wakeboarding and a trip to the Time Capsule. Leaflets are available
from Reception at Lauderdale. Book soon as places will fill quickly!
ALL PUPILS
All pupils that have an
instrumental lesson at 8.50am MUST report to the office at the bottom of
Bruntsfield House to register they are present. Absence calls will go
home to parents if pupils do not register.
