Supported Study
for National 5 Modern Studies will take place every Wednesday from
15:45-16:45 at Darroch in Room 1.3. Each week will focus on a different exam
skill/technique.

Rehearsals for Wednesday’s Spring Fling
All
performers arrive 15 minutes before their appropriate rehearsal at Marchmont
St Giles. Church.
We trust
that all pupils make their own way to these rehearsals in a sensible manner and
in groups.

We would
appreciate it if pupils in the senior wind band could arrive at Marchmont St
Giles for 8.30am in order to help set up the band as a prompt start is vital.

Mad March Hair!
Mrs Pearce is
fundraising for Comic Relief (Red Nose Day 2015 – 13th
March) if she manages to raise £1000
she will shave her head! Anything below that will still go to Comic
Relief but the hair stays!
The pupils will be speaking in assembly, going round with
buckets, posters will be put up etc. If you would like to support the
effort there is a Comic Relief Giving Page – link below.
World Book Day
To celebrate World Book Day a series of lunchtime events
will be running in the library at Lauderdale from Tuesday to Thursday this
week. These are:
Design a Book Token on Tuesday (3rd March)
lunchtime – a national competition to design a book-themed book token for the
National Book Tokens scheme!
Folded book art on Wednesday (4th March)
lunchtime and after school – learn how to make sculptures and art from
recycled books! All materials provided
Big Book Swap on Thursday (5th March) lunchtime
– bring along a book from home you no longer want to swap for another book to
keep and enjoy!

Football Trip
Manchester United
vs Arsenal. Saturday 16th May. £69pp with 40 places available. The
trip includes transport to and from Manchester, a 5-a-side competition, a
visit to the Manchester United store and tickets to see the game. If you are
interested please let Mr. Carstairs know immediately. Letters will be made
available once interest has been confirmed. All pupils welcome.
Spring Fling!
The Annual Spring Fling Evening of Music will be held in
Marchmont St. Giles on Wednesday 4th March at 7pm.
Tickets will be sold at the door on the night. They
are priced £6 and £4 concession.
Please support the concert and pupils performing.
Traditional Music Examination
All pupils who are entering a Graded Traditional Music
Examination on clarsach must bring back the fee via a cheque and the return
slip to Miss Millar ASAP.
The fees are as follows:

Immunisation
reminder
Forms need to be returned to the Welfare office asap –
immunisation session on Wednesday 11th March
ALL PUPILS
All pupils that have an
instrumental lesson at 8.50am MUST report to the office at the bottom of
Bruntsfield House to register they are present. Absence calls will go
home to parents if pupils do not register.
