RUGBY
There is an Edinburgh schools rugby 7s tournament on
Friday 15 May at Murrayfield. A James Gillespie’s team will be entered into
this. If you would like to play see Mr. Sievwright in the PE department
before Wednesday.
Lockers
S1 & S2 pupils only.
Lockers are now available for hire in the new building. Forms from welfare,
reception and website. Applications should be returned directly to the welfare
office.

straight to the Forum on the 19th May at 8.30 am and not to

Lauderdale on the second Thursday of every month at lunchtime. No
appointment necessary; open to all year groups; just come along and discuss
careers, higher education, apprenticeships and more with the Careers
Advisor. First session will be on Thursday 14th May from
1.05pm. Any questions, please see Miss Wilson in the Library!”

vs Arsenal Football Trip
Pupils going on this trip should be aware that the day
has changed from Saturday 16th May to Sunday 17th May.
Could you please collect a letter and new itinerary from Mr. Carstairs in the
PE Department ASAP.
If you could leave this in for the next couple of weeks it
would be much appreciated!
Wimbledon Trip
A couple of spaces have now become available for the
Wimbledon trip. If anyone is interested please see Miss Crosbie ASAP.

with U for next week.
Word: Tawdry (adjective)
Definition: showy, cheap and flashy
Context: The stylist thought her models clothes were
exuberant; the reviewers dismissed them as tawdry.
MUSIC NEWS
Please add the following to the bulletin:
There will be a rehearsal for all S3 pupils involved in
the concert for Strachan House Care Home on Wednesday 13th May at
lunchtime in B3.
Please bring your lunch with you and eat before the
rehearsal in B3.
Pupils involved must bring their instruments with them to
the rehearsal unless they are using school guitars.
