Gaelic Learners Club
 
The Gaelic learners club is open to all pupils s1 – s3 whatever their knowledge of Gaelic, so whether you want to build on the language you learned in primary or would like to learn more about one of Scotland’s native languages then come along and join the class which runs every Monday lunch time in room 2.24.

S3 Technologies London Trip:
 
Unfortunately this trip will not be running this month.  Instead we hope to run this trip in September 2016.  Pupils who handed in an initial deposit will not have their cheques cashed.

Football Trip.
 
Trans-World Soccer will be providing yet another fantastic opportunity for all football fans in S3-4 from Saturday 21st November to Sunday 22nd November. The trip includes tickets to see Manchester City vs Liverpool, a 5-a-side tournament and training with Newcastle United coaches amongst other things. The cost is £215pp. If you are interested and would like a letter, please see Mr. Carstairs in the PE department. Places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

Shinty Club
 
Shinty Club takes place on Monday after school.  Meet outside PE base.  All years welcome and all equipment is provided.
 
Music Workshops
 
There will be a host of workshops for children and young people aged from 5 - 25 to try their hand at

•             samba drumming with Leith based samba band Pulse of the Place (9 - 18 yrs)
•             song-writing workshops from youth music project Totally Sound (12 - 19 yrs)
•             drop in DJ workshops (13 - 25 yrs)
•             ukulele workshops from the City of Edinburgh Council’s Sounds Like Friday/Saturday project (7 - 12 yrs)
•             talks on careers in the music industry
•             singing workshop with Edinburgh School of Music (12 - 19 yrs)
•             a Frozen sing-a-long! (5 - 10 yrs)
•             and a marketplace with information about youth music projects and opportunities throughout the city.

In addition, the festival is a chance for everyone to see some of Scotland’s freshest young talent perform on stage with bands and musicians covering the full musical range - from hip hop to traditional, from new folk to R ‘n’ B to pop.

FREE TENNIS SESSIONS

Club FilmG (s1-s6)
 
Club FilmG is a club for fluent Gaelic speakers s1-s6 with an interest in the media who would like to take part in this year’s FilmG short film competition. As well as an opportunity to create your own film the club will give you the chance to work with professionals from the television industry and learn about filming and editing. We will meet after school on Wednesdays in room 2.24.
 
MUSIC REHEARSALS
 
ALL OTHER INSTRUMENTAL GROUPS AND CHOIRS WILL START REHEARSALS IN SEPTEMBER.
