S1	Gaelic Learners Club   The Gaelic learners club is open to all pupils s1 – s3 whatever their knowledge of Gaelic, so whether you want to build on the language you learned in primary or would like to learn more about one of Scotland’s native languages then come along and join the class which runs every Monday lunch time in room 2.24.

S3	Gaelic Learners Club   The Gaelic learners club is open to all pupils s1 – s3 whatever their knowledge of Gaelic, so whether you want to build on the language you learned in primary or would like to learn more about one of Scotland’s native languages then come along and join the class which runs every Monday lunch time in room 2.24.   S3 Technologies London Trip:   Unfortunately this trip will not be running this month.  Instead we hope to run this trip in September 2016.  Pupils who handed in an initial deposit will not have their cheques cashed.   Mr McGinley   Football Trip.   Trans-World Soccer will be providing yet another fantastic opportunity for all football fans in S3-4 from Saturday 21st November to Sunday 22nd November. The trip includes tickets to see Manchester City vs Liverpool, a 5-a-side tournament and training with Newcastle United coaches amongst other things. The cost is £215pp. If you are interested and would like a letter, please see Mr. Carstairs in the PE department. Places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
S4	Interested in film?   Join Mr McPhail for ‘Write, Shoot, Cut’ – the scriptwriting and filmmaking club. Learn how to use industry standard scriptwriting, editing and special effects software to make your ideas come alive on the big screen. All years	Word of the week from 3M2 Word: Hapaxlegomenon (noun) Definition: a word or phrase that appears only once in a manuscript, document, or particular area of literature. Synonyms: no know synonyms Context sentence: Cameron enjoys using the word hapaxlegomenon in his daily language. Thanks to all the classes that came up with some fantastic words. The word from 3M2 is perhaps not the most useful of words but it was used to good effect on University Challenge and has been chosen for its novelty value. See if you can come up with some words that are more functional, but still interesting, for next week! As well as an opportunity to create your own film the club will give you the chance to work with professionals from the television industry and learn about filming and editing.
